Sansea Sparling's 200-Hour and 500-Hour teaching certifications are from Nosara Yoga Institute, after many years of practice with Deborah Felmeth. Using breath awareness and profound respect for the wonders of human anatomy, Sansea's classes allow each participant to choose modifications and vary the degree of intensity. Sansea employs poetry, color and nature images, especially as they relate to the Chakras. Sansea also was certified in Pranassage by Don and Amba at Nosara. In a Pranassage, the client lies relaxed, passive, while the limbs are arranged into simple yoga postures; applied pressure, as one prefers, allows joints to become more flexible with greater mobility.

Sally Burrell is a holistic health educator, an avid gardener, and a Healing Touch and massage practitioner in Bristol. She emphasizes self care for unblocking creativity and maintaining positive intention and a healthy body.
Sally was certified in Therapuetic Massage in 1987. Training in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Jin Shin Do, Reflexology, Energy Medicine, Sports Massage, and The Pathwork contribute to her intuition, skills and presence during sessions. She offers a heartful style that deeply soothes the musculature while creating space for mental and emotional realignment.
Healing Touch differs from Massage in that clients remain clothed and no oil is used. The focus is on clearing, balancing and charging the Energy System. Treatment of the auric field and chakras enhances the natural healing process. Healing Touch and Massage can be combined in a session.
During the gardening season Sally offers organic pestos, salads and jade sauce at the Bristol Farmers' Market.

I attended my first yoga class in 1975 and loved it, yet the practice did not become truly important to me until I moved to the Middle East in 1991. Then it saved my life, centered me, gave me strength and calm in the face of confusion and overwhelm. I completed my first 200 hour training in 1996 with Don & Amba Stapleton in order to be able to take the practice as a teacher to Damascus, Syria where there weren't any yoga teachers. I still happily teach there 6 months of each year. The other six months I am here teaching in beloved Vermont. Teaching and living are both eclectic arts as far as I am concerned. My background includes some study of Mind Body Centering with Bonnie Bainbridge, a 200 hour training with Donna Farhi, and workshops with some truly great teachers such as Erich Schiffman, Rod Stryker and Angela Farmer. Grounded in love for the divine I seek to incorporate my deep love of nature, my profound respect for the individual paths which each and every student travels and my sense of wonder at the intricacy of the physical body into classes for every one who is interested in balance, in love, in wholeness and in light heartedness. Sometimes it works!*
For The Sake of God is a class based each week on one of the 99 names of God as spoken in Arabic! The 99 names, or the Most Beautiful Names as they are called, are qualities and attributes of the divine. Using them as foundations for practice gives a framework for meditation which underlies asana and pranayama and becomes part of the Samkalpa or intention for that practice, that day, that week, that strand in the weaving of life.

Hi! I am a yoga enthusiast and practitioner since 2002, choosing Kundalini yoga as a method of mental/emotional and physical empowerment in the face of ongoing health issues. Through my years of practice I’ve been able to cultivate a positive space to work toward personal healing and emotional clarity. My motivation is to share the ancient science and the practice with anyone who is also interested ~ to this end I offer all my classes, donations are accepted.
I am also an avid natural healer:
I’ve practiced Reiki since 2003, and currently offer both Reiki treatments and practitioner classes/attunements from 1st degree to Master/Teacher level and have written my own master/teacher training manual.
I work with the principal that the Earth provides the tools needed to cultivate personal health and balance.
I believe that since mind decides matter, that creating our own bliss requires us to strive to be present and open in this moment, regardless of physical circumstance or mental perspective.
I utilize yoga, meditation, Reiki, minerals and gemstone energy, as well as chakra (energy) and polarity balancing in my healing techniques. I am available for healing or 1-on-1 yoga sessions on request:

Nancy McClaran has been teaching art in the Lincoln Community School for the past 9 years and has been practicing Tai Chi Chuan for about the same amount of time. She is continuously learning how to integrate these experiences into her relationships with children, adults and the health of our community. Her strong commitment to serve where needed is the driving force behind her work.
This year she has taken on teaching beginning tai chi classes in a more formal setting and has been reminded of the equal value that both teacher and student share as information travels on multiple levels. Tai Chi is a continuous and flowing channel toward centering, health and clarity. It allows you to find your pace, reach steps of awareness and center your body and mind in a thoughtful and progressive direction. Once practice has begun, the lessons will inevitably present themselves along your way.
At the Open Sky studio, she has a beginning Tai Chi Chuan class from 3:30 – 4:45 on Monday afternoons. This is ongoing and is open to new students at any time. Nancy has been studying Tai Chi Chuan and the Yang Style with Christopher Kiely and Master Tung Kaiying since 2002. Her Tai Chi classes at The Open Sky Studio directly reflect and are indebted to the intentions of Falling Waters Tai Chi School in Middlebury, run and created by Christopher Kiely.
Her fine art career goes back 30 years. She earned a BS in Fine Arts in intaglio printmaking from Frostburg University in 1984, completed masters’ courses at the Museum School in Boston and has a post-baccalaureate Education degree focused on the Arts from University of Vermont. This lifetime body of work continues to change and flourish as time allows.
Nancy will be holding adult art classes beginning in October and teen art classes beginning in September. (see Open Sky schedule for times)
